Introduction: Hi, I am Doug Stewart. I am a seasoned software developer, development team leader, DRP administrator, project manager and all-purpose IT hand. I am PMI certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) and have a recent DoD secret clearance. Although I have extensive leadership and project management experience, I like to "do" as well as "direct." I love to help people, to learn and discover how things work, to think about better ways to do things, to create solutions, and to work as part of a small and energetic team. My current focus is to circle back to once again be a creative and prolific software developer, now using the latest Microsoft development technologies. I want to build my ideas into web delivered software that is useful and engaging. Breadth of Experience: I currently work at Chelan Fruit as a database developer using SQL Server 2008 and C#/ASP.Net running on windows server 2008 R2. However, I have spent most of my career at Chelan County Public Utility District, a small power company that none-the-less had a full suite of enterprise business systems. This provided me with a tremendous opportunity to perform in a wide variety of IT roles as well as implement and support a full range of software. For over two decades, I was a key contributor in this environment with other talented and dedicated professionals. We did everything: project initiation, business analysis, requirements gathering, systems analysis and design, data modeling, application design, database creation, programming, testing, implementation, support, maintenance, and upgrades. We did it across decades of technology from the HP3000 minicomputer, through client server technology, an ERP implementation, and into modern web technologies. |  Leadership Experience: I have led IT teams as supervisor or project manager for over two decades. I served fourteen years as the application development group supervisor at Chelan PUD. I have been the project manager for establishing a new data center. I served as the IT Disaster Recovery Plan administrator. Most recently I have been the development manager, project coordinator, and infrastructure lead at a small internet software company where the development team used C# .Net over SQL Server and Oracle enterprise databases.
